Welcome to Kuntanawa Goods
Your gateway to authentic, handcrafted products inspired by the rich cultural heritage of the Kuntanawa Nation.
**Our mission** is to empower Indigenous artisans, preserve ancestral traditions, and foster a deeper connection between people and the Amazon Rainforest.
About the Kuntanawa Nation
The Kuntanawa, meaning ‘People of the Coconut,’ are an Indigenous community residing along the Tejo River in the Acre region of Brazil. Historically, they faced near extinction during the rubber boom due to violent exploitation and displacement. In 1911, the Kuntanawa were freed from slavery imposed during the rubber trade era, marking the beginning of their journey to reclaim their autonomy and cultural identity.
Today, under the leadership of Prince Haru Kuntanawa and Dr. Hayra Kuntanawa, the community is experiencing a cultural resurgence, focusing on preserving their heritage, protecting sacred lands, and promoting global awareness.
